Terms of Use — GlucoTrack
These Terms govern your use of the GlucoTrack app ("the App"), operated by Tom Beadle ("we", "us"), based in New Zealand. By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Not a medical device or medical advice
The App is a general wellness and self-management tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and must not be used to make dosing or treatment decisions. Any insulin information is illustrative and educational only and does not calculate a dose for you.
2. AI features
Some features use AI to provide general, educational information about patterns in your data. AI output can be incomplete or wrong, is not medical advice, and must never be used to start, stop, or change any medication or treatment.
3. Eligibility & children
You must be old enough to consent to a digital service in your country (at least 13, and up to 16 in some places). Where the App is used for a child, a parent or legal guardian must set it up and supervise its use. Caregiver access to a child's data is limited by age (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your device and account secure, and for keeping your own backups. The App is local-first; clearing the app or device can erase data unless you have enabled cloud sync or made a backup.
5. Subscriptions & billing
Plus and Family are auto-renewable subscriptions sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically for the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies. Free features remain available without a subscription.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the App, attempt to break its security, use it unlawfully, or rely on it as a substitute for professional medical care.
7. Third-party services
The App can connect to third-party services you choose (e.g. continuous glucose monitors, fitness apps, cloud sync, and AI providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimers & liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or other non-excludable consumer law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any health outcome, loss, or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the App.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
